1. Background
The SMEs (Micro-enterprises) Site Selection Exercise, Public Consultation Draft, was published on the 22nd August 2002 and was the subject of a public consultation exercise until the 4th October 2002. The purpose of the public consultation was twofold: to elicit public comments on the proposed sites and to seek suggestions for new sites.
This report describes the outcome of the public consultation exercise, includes an analysis of the public submissions received and recommends a number of sites (with supporting maps showing the boundaries for each site) for the designation as Micro-enterprise Parks for the eventual endorsement by the House of Representatives. This report also includes another set of maps indicating all the submissions received.
The SMEs (Micro-enterprises) Site Selection Exercise Public Consultation Draft also addressed the need to review the Structure Plan policies SET 8 and IND 6. The proposals for the review were also subject to public consultation and this report includes recommendations on the review of these two policies for the eventual endorsement by the House of Representatives.
