The Authority has a vacancy in the post of: Assistant Officers – Information Systems Development

The role entails responsibiity for designing, developing, testing, installing, monitoring and documenting of new and existing information systems with the appropriate training and support.

• The selected candidate will be responsible :-

• Assisting the Information Systems Development Officer in analysing the demand for IS.

• Assisting in the development of the required IS using established system development methodologies and appropriate software tools.
• Assisting in the analysis of the users’ functional and information requirements and assisting in the preparation of Requirements Specifications which may be the basis for procurement or outsourcing via tendering.
• Assisting in the preparation outline and detailed designs for IS which will be developed in-house.
• Coding, documenting and testing IS software as required.
• Participating in IS development projects by contributing to planning of activities, scoping of activities, undertaking development work, reporting project progress and maintaining quality.
• Assisting in the installation and delivery of IS to users by providing appropriate training, ongoing support and maintenance.

• Assisting the monitoring of the operations of installed IS and identifying ways to improve performance and/or quality levels of these systems.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing information systems.
• Create and update the quality documentation and maintain the quality system of the ICT Section.
• To carry out other ancillary duties as may be assigned by his/her superior.


Applicants should have:

• Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or, a Bachelor of Science degree with sufficient amount of computing and technical content (such as a joint degree or Business Management & IT, Computing & Mathematics).

Candidates in possession of foreign degrees, are to present a translated copy of their degree in English and proof of local equivalence, with their application.

• Experience: Development skills in Microsoft platforms including ASP, DotNet, SQL Server and related Technologies.

• Skills: Proven presentation, analytical and communication skills.
